Buckhurst Hill Community Association
Classes in art, crafts and leisure activities
The first meeting of BHCA was held at Pelly House, Buckhurst Hill on 6th December 1946 and it has been providing classes in arts, crafts and other leisure activities at Bedford House continuously since 1950.
BHCA is a self-supporting, independent institution and a registered charity. This allows us to provide the kind of courses our members want, rather than those central or local government requires. However, this independence means that the Association must meet all its own administrative costs. To ensure the continuing success of the Association and to keep the class fees to an affordable level, members are welcome to:
* attend management meetings and having your say on the organisation and management of BHCA (max. six times per year), * assist with fund raising events, * suggest new classes and courses, * help with the set-up and running of the Annual Exhibition. You will be most welcome!
